Crafting a Lookbook for Praesidus that Respects the Past

The Concept

We worked with Praesidus to mark the 80th anniversary of V-J Day by helping them launch The Victory Watch, their first proper dress watch. Known up until now for rugged, military-inspired tool watches, Praesidus wanted this piece to honor what came after the war: the return home, putting on a suit, carrying the values of service into civilian life. The idea was to capture that shift—from fatigues to dinner jackets, from battlefields to dinner tables—in a watch that’s modest, purposeful, and rooted in history, but made for every day now.

The Solution

To bring this to life, we styled and shot The Victory Watch in ways that emphasized its connection to post-war style and attitude. The Worn & Wound Creative Services team blended B&W and color photography with timeless wardrobe, props, and locations to bridge eras, making the watch feel both contemporary and nostalgic all at once. The Lookbook launched on the V-J Day anniversary, making the entire campaign feel even more timely and special.

The Results

The story resonated. For many enthusiasts, the Victory Watch isn’t just another commemorative piece; it carries emotional weight and style that feels relevant today. The imagery and narrative helped Praesidus expand their identity into dress watches without losing their roots. We received feedback that people really appreciated how the watch honored resilience, hope, and refined simplicity. For us, it reinforced that we can help brands evolve visually and narratively, and that sometimes, subtlety and authenticity are exactly what make a product stand out.
