Tool/Kit: Trekking Through Patagonia with Alpina’s Alpiner Extreme Regulator and Skeleton Automatics
The Concept
When adventure photographer Nick Stirbis planned an expedition through Patagonia, Worn & Wound Creative Services saw the perfect opportunity. In partnership with Alpina, the idea was to showcase the rugged Alpiner Extreme Regulator and Skeleton Automatics in action—literally. Rather than studio shots, the goal was to capture these watches in their element, trekking rain‑soaked trails and taking in mountain panoramas, showcasing how they stand up to real-world challenges.
The Solution
We outfitted Nick and his climbing partner, Mylz Perry, with both Alpina models, sending them off into Patagonia’s wild terrain. The visuals that followed blended raw landscapes with clean, purposeful product photography—like the Regulator’s bold dial set against rugged cliffs and the Skeleton’s intricate mechanics catching lodge light. We captured candid moments of them navigating storms, lounging lodge‑side, and experimenting with light and angles to emphasize each watch’s personality and resilience.
The Results
The result? A stunning Tool/Kit story that resonated deeply with outdoor enthusiasts, watch lovers, and the clients based both in the U.S. and in Switzerland. The Alpina timepieces—and by extension, Worn & Wound’s creative vision—were praised for showing watches not just as gear, but as trusted companions. The campaign reinforced the Alpiner Extreme line as beautifully rugged and visually compelling, strengthening Alpina’s brand narrative. And for Worn & Wound, it underscored their ability to blend adventure, storytelling, and product photography into seamless, impactful campaigns.
